About Baking Essentials 101
Our Story
Baking Essentials was a long-awaited vision that began in 2017. As longtime friends and fellow bakers, Raena Bell and Terri Parks each operated their own cottage food bakery businesses, creating custom cakes and sweet treats for special occasions. Through their experiences, they saw the need for a welcoming local store where treat makers could find quality supplies, helpful guidance and creative inspiration all in one place.
When the opportunity arose to bring that vision to life, it was one they simply couldn’t pass up. Together, they founded Baking Essentials, a boutique baking and confectionery supply store in Columbus, Ohio, built from their shared passion for transforming simple ingredients into edible works of art.
Today, Baking Essentials proudly welcomes hobby bakers, professional decorators, chocolatiers, small-business owners and treat makers of every skill level. From cake decorating tools and confectionery ingredients to chocolate and candy-making supplies, customizable edible images, themed party products and hands-on classes, Baking Essentials is here to help bring your sweetest ideas to life.
